artimosa jubileumexpositieSinds January I am part of Artimosa. This is a  group of Limburgse artists passionate about art. It feels great to be part of these likeminded people.

We share a passion for making art with paint, clay or metal.

In May is our communal exhibition in Roermond. 10 till 25 May, 14 - 17.00u. I will be there on the 25th of May.

Come and have a look!

On 2 and 3 May I am invited by the International Polymer organisation to speak on their conference in Malta. My lecture Process as Design Tool can be heared twice.

I am already looking forward to this unique possibility. Malta is a wonderful island. I plan on doing some research on historic jewellery for the blog while I am there.

Preparing for an upcoming exhibition

Autumn is my favorite season.  Nature is filled with ripe fruits that are now ready to harvest. An exhibition is for me connected with harvesting. So it is only natural that I have an exhibition in October. All the hard work of designing and making jewellery, will be visible for the interested to see in Steyl. This time I am particulary happy because I find the location extremely inspiring.

On the invitation you see villa Moubis (Waterloostraat 28 in Steyl). It’s an old villa build in 1860, a protected monument and very distinctive building in the area.

Together with artists like Huub Rossel, Twan Kuhlmann and Anja van Rijen I will be there in the two first weekends in October. Thanks to Anne-Marie Lathouwers for opening the doors to the artworks. Hope to see you there :-)

So a lot of time is now filled with preparing for the exhibition. Thinking about how I will present my jewellery and what will I take there with me. Could I still make some new rings or…?

Beside my Dragon and Inner Star collection I will also bring my Earth collection. So that’s why I now am making new pendants and earrings to show and sell.

Work in progress: an Earth pendant in the making.
